Dulverton is an old market town that made its future in the wool trade. Standing on the southern side of Exmoor National Park it is easy to access the rest of Exmoor's delights.

Riverside walks along the Barle river provide a pleasant diversion and offer routes from easy strolls to full day hikes. 

Dulverton and its immediate area offers various outdoor pursuits including walking, canoeing, cycling, fishing, shooting and hunting.



Aside from the classy boutiques Dulverton is home to antique shops, art galleries and exhibitions.  

Dulverton is home to the award winning Woods Restaurant, has a first class Thai Restaurant, and several other traditional pubs.  There are also excellent tea shops offering wonderful lunches and cream teas.

Within the town of Dulverton there are three Churches - Anglican, Catholic and Congregational.

Dulverton is also home to the popular Dulverton by Starlight Christmas event. 

There are always sports such as tennis, cricket, football and squash to either watch or participate in.

The Dulverton polo club can offer an entertaining diversion for an afternoon.
